Joshua Kinser is a professional drummer, educator, and lifelong musician with over 34 years of experience. Based in Gulf Breeze, Florida, he brings a rare combination of real-world performing, recording, and touring  experience and a genuine passion for teaching.

Joshua’s career has taken him across stages and studios around the world. He has performed as a house band drummer at AJ’s in Destin, spent five years playing aboard cruise ships, toured with Armed Forces Entertainment for U.S. troops overseas, and worked with orchestras, original bands, wedding bands, private event bands, and toured nationally with original groups. This broad background gives him deep insight into what actually works on stage, in the studio, and when teaching lessons.

Outside of drumming and teaching, Joshua is a published author of over twenty books and a licensed residential contractor who built his own home from the ground up. He has worked with major publishers including Hachette Book Group, one of the largest book publishers in the world.

Today, Joshua performs and tours as a drummer, writes books for several large publishers, is the owner of KINSER BUILT LLC that provides Residential Construction and home repair services, and offers private drum lessons both in-person at his Gulf Breeze studio and online to students.
